I'd buy one and hang it on my wall just so I can pretend to be Tom Cruise in "Minority Report" ;)   ... I wonder how long it will take for the novelty to wear off...

It seems like a cool thing to use for booths at conventions and such, or one of those short-use computers that you can find at like ikea or a book store.

 

i could probably only see thing being useful for creating designs in 3 dimensions. It may just be me, but I find it really hard to draw things in 3D when i only have 2 dimensions to use from my mouse.

I love the hater comments, its coming and maybe you will still need your mouse and definitely your keyboard but it will influence your interaction with the computer. Whether you use it is really up to you just like a toothbrush or mouthwash.

This has a lot of application with 3D sculpting/digital painting and I actually like what I saw with the gesture for the fps.

It doesn't hurt that it was displayed on a gorgeous Apple monitor!  :)

So I got the e-mail announcing I was going to get my Leap Motion this upcoming Monday or possibly Tuesday, got excited.

 

Today a ring at the door and guess what its here already!

So getting early was the good news. The bad news is:

So I have it but can't use it till the 22nd, no drivers shipped with it just the leap motion and its USB 3 cables... :mellow:

 

Not sure getting it early to have it as a paper weight was worth it.
