Posted August 16, 2022 Hi Audiophiles , I have a pair of Sennheiser HD6xx headphones however my current amp/DAC isn't really adequate for these headphones. Does anyone have any recommendations? Posted August 17, 2022 I have the 58X or whatever the one below 6XX is on Drop.com. I use the Yamaha Steinberg UR 22 (2015 model) and it works great imo. Posted August 17, 2022 There are about a billion answers to the question. Depends on budget really, the 6xx will respond more than most to what is powering it. I could recommend the xDuoo MT-602 down the road, but that's for special listening sessions, these headphones love tubes. They aren't great for daily though. Yeah I would imagine the K3 won't get everything out of the 6xx. I would suggest using the fiio as a dac and use the line out into RCA and get an amp that can power the 6xx. I'm not entirely certain, at least with first hand knowledge, what will and will not power the 6xx, I just go straight to a very overpowered amp or an overpowered pure tube amp and have little desire to try it on anything else. I should fire up some cheaper amps and see how the 6xx does on them. I honestly couldn't suggest something without knowing what is available in your region or knowing your budget. I'm going to look at amazon UK and update this post if I find anything Problem, meet solution. Ifi Zen Can I don't have this product and don't know of any specific reviews, but the power output at 16ohm when compared to the ifi product on drop.com made specifically for the 6xx says that it's more powerful. I know it's not apples to apples but if I had to hedge my bets on something it would be this product. I just googled the k3 and I'm surprised at how little power it put's out.
