Looking for cooling suggestions for a 10700k on a Z590 Aorus Ultra MB.

Case: Asus Tuf Gaming GT 501

Video Card: Ted Devil 6900XT

I have been using a Ventroo V5 cooler with this CPU in an open air "side of the road" case. Had a 1070 for video and have not over clocked.

Knowing the new video card is going to put off more heat and putting things in a proper case I am unsure if the Ventroo will be up to the task. I would also like to have the cooling headroom to OC a bot, nothing extreme.

Side Note: Fan noise does not bother me, I find it relaxing. I prefer not to go over 150 USD.

Welcome to the forums!!!

You can go with a big air cooler such as the Noctua NH-D15 or the be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 as that case has a maximum CPU cooler height of 180mm. Keep in mind the memory module sticks reduce the height of the 2nd fan for the NH-D15 as it sits above the RAM modules.

I have a Hyper 212 evo with two 120mm fans on in my dad's computer cooling a 10700K and it's great. I've used it before with my 6900XT and should keep temps below 70⁰C.

I'd probably opt for a 360mm mounted on top, especially if you're going to OC  Since the case comes with 3x120mm, put those in front.  Also is a 140mm for the rear.   Done.

For my 8 core Intel CPUs I use Noctua nh-d15s. Even my i9 11900k is on one.

Usually for more cores or if a D15 does not fit in a case I use 360mm AIOs(EK).

I have a 3080 ti and 3090 ti in with the D15s but they still game in the 50s and 60s.

Have an EK-AIO 240 D-RGB cooling my 10700K, running with MCE & XMP enabled but no additional overclocking, stock voltages. 75C when gaming seems to be the max package temp it gets to in my Core V21 (and that was with 100 odd Firefox tabs consuming 8GB RAM sitting in the background). Currently on sale direct from EK for $107, the basic version (without RGB) is sub $100. And it's quiet. No complaints.
