The GTX780 is the better option

Defo a single 780. Not only can you upgrade to dual 780s in SLI if and when you want to. the 780 is massively better than the 760. I initially replaced my 2 GTX 660ti Power edition cards. 1 GTX 780 was about 80%  of the performance of 2 660ti's. They are beast cards.

Corsair 400R, i7 3770K @ 4.5GHz 16GB, Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz, Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Motherboard, 240GB Samsung 840 Evo Sata III SSD, 2 x Asus GTX 780 Direct CU2 SLI, Corsair H100i and Corsair AX860i Platinum Power supply.

Get the 780, single more powerful card is better than dual less powerful cards in tearms of reliability, power usage and noise.

I dont really mind power usage/noise im just looking for performance, i understand getting the 780, but by the time i have enough money saved up to sli it It would be time for a new computer again

Or Maybe i get the 280x crossfire or something?

A 280x cf would easily outperform either solutions.

Can anyone suggest a 760 to get an asus or maybe msi? i am going to overclock

Brand doesn't really matter. They're all similar.
