How do I get my Samsung TV to display my Wii properly without looking horrible?

Duo01

I have a Samsung TV from around 2012-2014ish I'm not too sure, I've been using it for console and my computer, (yes I know, it's old but it works well for what I need it for) however I recently tried plugging my Wii's AV cable into the TV and alas, I get bad visuals on the TV, I've checked to see if this is a cable issue by plugging it into another TV I had, however, it looked better on that other TV with the same cable, and the other TV is even older than the one I have.

I'm thinking its a setting issue, but I'm not too sure, I've messed around a bit with settings but can't seem to find anything. ..Help?

Also apologies if this is in the wrong area but, I thought this would be the right spot for my issue.

Try to play around with the sharpening slider. Other than that it could also be that this particular TV model is just bad at upscaling.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Try using a component cable instead of the regular composite cable.  You can still find Wii compatible component cables for around $10 on Amazon.  I used one a long time ago to see if it would help at all, and the results were deeper and brighter colors as well as a much sharper image overall.

THIS.

When using older consoles on a compatible 'old' TV, if component cables are an option ..get them. They are way better.

You can find plenty of examples of the difference online. I still remember the difference when switching from standard composite/SCART on my PS2 , to component. Night and day.
