Connect Chromecast to PC via Capture Card

Hi everyone, I was wondering on what app or service I could use to watch my Chromecast on my PC?

 

I wanted to cast shows directly to my monitor on where I had two options:

1. Connect Chromecast directly to my monitor via HDMI splitter
2. Connect Chromecast to my PC via a capture card

 

For the first option the downside is I would not be able to use my wireless headphones since the Chromecast would be using my monitor's speakers. For the second option I am unsure of any software that will able to show the video and also play the audio from the Chromecast.

 

In my diagram below you can the flow for the 2nd option where the gray box has the software on it. If there are any better implementations you know do let inform me in the comments.

So, what source are you getting video from?

 

I mean, they all natively have browser clients... why do you need to do it through Chromecast?
 

Is this plan not a case of unnessessary expense and complexity?

also an hdmi splitter is not the same as a mixer

This seems incredibly unnecessary. Anything the Chromcast can play you can just watch in a browser.

I just wanted to watch on my monitor via cast. Most apps for Windows use screen mirror so Netflix does not play on my PC. I just wanted a bigger screen while I just use my phone as a remote to play any video I's like to.

 

The sources would be netflix, youtube and prime.

Surely getting a wireless keyboard/touchpad combo would be idea for this if the sole reason is "being far from the PC"?
