What is a good CPU temp at 100% usage?

Uh the lower the better? That would be the most common answer.

depends on generation of processor, the model, the cooler used, the ambient temp, etc. 100 Celsius is the point where pretty much all modern CPU's start to throttle back their speed in order to save themselves, so you want to be as far below that as possible. most people will want to stay below 80c or so as a general rough guide, but as said above, the lower the better for the overall life and health of the CPU itself

Good question.

Going by my Cinebench screen shots it depends on the CPU and the cooling.

 

The lowest temps I got with my 5900x using a 360mm AIO. That was 66c.

The highest is my i9 10900kf at 88c with a 360mm AIO.

My i9 9900k does 76c with a Noctua D15.

 

I consider them all good for what they are.

Depends what CPU you got. My 8600k would hit like 60C but 11th gen cpus could hit like 90+ which is cray cray.

Sub 85*c is preferential to me for both CPU/GPU and I'll strive to tune accordingly to my tastes.

 

360mm AIO for my i910850K 5.1Ghz allcore +AVX sits me around 85*c maybe a touch higher on peak temps ,but thats AVX only operations, everything else is sub80*c easily, in games its anywhere from 40-65*c.

My GPU is under water and backplate has airflow so its of no concern to me with this setup.

as above.  my 10900k will be 85-90 in something like Cinebench R23.  and 60-65 in games (*C)  My old 8700k would be around 80-85*C in R23 and 60-65*C in games and my older 6600k would be under 80*C in R23 and again 60ish in games.  That all under a 360mm AIO

They are not too bad.

This is my i9 11900k at stock using a Noctua D15 with a single fan.

The CPU was too expensive at launch and was not an upgrade for a i9 10900k, so not a good buy.

At $350 it is a good buy.

as long as you're not thermal throttling its fine. What temps are you getting?

In that R20 screen I have in the post at the most it is doing 65c. In games it is in the 50s.

So a long way from thermal throttling.
