PSU orientation/clearance issue

Hey guys i have a kind of an issue and concern because i don't know if it is a good idea to change where the power supply's fan should be, i have this issue because if i flip it i most likely be able to hide the ugly 8-pin and 24-pin cables, my power supply is:

 

COOLERMASTER EXTREME POWER PLUS 500 WATT (no 80 plus certification at all)

Here is my system:

 

 

 

Specs just for the sake of it:

 

FX 6100

M5A97 EVO

8GB. kingston blue (1666 MHz)

Asus HD 7770 Dirct CU II

Cooler master Extreme power 500 Watts

Cooler Master Haf 912

TPi-Link PCi-e wireless network adaptor 150mbps

(recycled from an old computer) WD 600gb HDD

So long as theres clearance below for airflow, i dont think that it matters which way the PSU is.

Go on right ahead and flip it! I see a dust filter below your case and I'm pretty sure everything could fit. Though it may be quite hard to crap all the cable inside. :) 

 

If you can run some cables beside your mobo the would be cool. 

Try not to use molex to power your fan. Wrap the cord of your fan around the afan itself and try to find a nearby 3pin header to plug it in.

Thanks! The fan molex thing is a great advice thanks i'll try it, and about putting the cables inside wont be a problem i still have a lot of clearance at the back.

Indeed, seeing as there's a cutout on the bottom from the manufacturer of your case it should be perfectly capable of running flipped. :)

Thanks man it does have clearance about half an inch so yeah  i think it should be good.
