Hey guys just have a bit of a question for you guys. When you look for a new game, which aspect do you look at the most?

For me it used to be more about MP but when I switched over to PC I didn't have very many friends (none) to play online with I got in Single Player games.

I liked Bioshock Infinite, it was pretty cool. Crysis 2 & 3 are pretty cool too.

It's all about the single player experience for me. Single player games have amazing stories and usually that is what I'm looking for from a game. Games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins.

It very much depends on the game. Some games I look for multiplayer, others I don't. Games like Battlefield or Crysis I get for the multiplayer and sometimes won't even touch the singleplayer component. Games like Bioshock or Far Cry I don't care whatsoever about multiplayer. So, for me, I say both.

I can't get my self to play any of the single player FPS PC games BF3, Call of Duty: BO and BO2, MW3, MW2,MW, WaW, BF:BC2...etc just so boring to me. I recently purchased DOOM3 and surprisingly I'm having a blast playing the single player. But multiplayer have always been fun for the above games. Just not into single player I guess.

I pretty much play Multiplayer games most of the time but when a great and awesome single player like Bioshock Infinite comes along I have to play that. Far Cry 3 was great for me as well.

It depends on the game really, games like Call of Duty and Battlefield are probably most bought for the multilayer. I do not know as much about battlefield but I know that the majority of the emphasis regarding production  for COD is placed upon Multiplayer. I only really buy call of duty games for multiplayer (and zombies) and don't really give a f*ck about the single player.

And then you have games like Borderlands 2 and Far Cry where all of the emphasis is placed upon creating a fun and singleplayer. If Borderlands 2 had some sought of team death match or ctf multilayer add on i would probably check it out for giggles but it would not be the reason i bought the game.

If a game has a good MP and crap SP I will still get it. If good SP & bad MP I probably won't but there are exceptions. Getting good SP & MP is an added bonus.

Those were the words I was looking "attention span" I don't have that for the campaign modes.

I rely on Single Player gameplay more than multiplayer when shopping for a game.

I enjoy being absorbed into a storyline and relating with the characters.

Multiplayer to me has always been an after thought. To be used when I've played through the single player and feel like the game mechanics would work well with others. Multiplayer adds more replay value than core game alone. Of course there are some games which are meant just for online and that's fine. It all depends on the type of game in question

The one thing I can't stand is how more and more games are being released with a short half ass'd singleplayer, yet a full complex arcade multiplayer arena which doesn't relate to the games story or style. Or sometimes even worse when the single player is nothing more than a 5 hour glorified tutorial for multiplayer.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Borderlands 2 has very fun co-op but i think that if you really want to get immersed in that game you need to play it through on your own. first.

I've always been more into the single player experience in regards to PC games. I'm a sucker for games like Morrowind where I can get lost in the world for hundreds and hundreds of hours. I play the major multiplayer PC games like BF3 but I haven't touched them in a while cause of work and clinicals.
