Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x000012f.

I get this error when attempting to reset my PC. this is a new error. now every time I attempt to run a admin program it pops up

I did format my two drivers while it said a file was running on the drives or something but I had nothing that would communicate with the windows files

trying to do a sfc scan tells me this
--

C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.
--
Then i tried to do a dism fix and got this error

[===========================84.9%=================         ]
[==========================100.0%==========================]
Error: 0x800f081f

The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=243077.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I also attempted using scannow in safe mode

Not sure what else I can do? I am thinking of resetting windows with a USB drive or something since I still have my original box somewhere around my room

I don’t know what all that number salad in the first sentence is so I can’t tell what you’re even talking about also this term “reset” may be being misused.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Reset is a specific term with computers.  English tends to fail a bit with computing because a regular word is used to describe a specific thing.  You might mean clean install you might mean restart.  All I know is it seems it was used in two different ways.

I would just do full manual windows reinstall, wiping all data from disks on the way.

I was told this is called a clean install.  This illustrates the problem.

No. This option makes windows to attempt attemp restore system files from backup, and delete user files. If backup or system itsef is corrupted it can simply fail. (Of  course I am greatly oversimplifying this process.)
By full reinstall I mean this.
