i bought this back a few months ago as my computer was down

it was working great no issues, one day the battery died and i had left it for say a day at most. i plug it in when i get back to my house and the thing refuses to turn on, it says its charging with magsafe isnt turning on.

i take off the back disconnect the battery and the charging led turns green which means not charging ( no battery ) then i try and turn it on still nothing i tried over and over and over nothing worked.

i plugged the battery back in and  asked my friend what he thought, as i was grabbing my phone the laptop turned on. i was confused so i disconnected the battery again, and it was booting off its own power unlike before.

week later same thing happened and kinda confused at this point, as the battery lasts quiet awhile and only has 200 cycles,

Battery could still be going bad. It is not unheard of for batteries that old to have erratic behavior. Additonally, the 2012 machines also had an issue where if the battery died it could keep the machine stuck in almost a sleep state. The only way to get it out of that state was by unplugging the battery to de-energize the board.

is your system a retina or non-retina system?

I would replace the battery if I were you. Don't use cheap batteries. Use properly sourced ones like this one from OWC:

I would try replacing your battery first to see if that solves your issues. Even though it only has 200 charge cycles it is at least 5-6 years old. Possibly even the original battery.

Wait, nevermind you mentioned it would do the same thing without the battery. if that is the case you need a replacement board.
