i'm not sure about Ryzen or go Intel

not welling to spend much

There was a period where AMD was beating the pants off intel, but it was doing it so well the halo effect extended to their earlier processors which weren’t.  It depends heavily on which particular models you are loooking at versus what.  As far as newly designed systems (as opposed to merely new systems) go, lga1700 may have a slight advantage over the newest AMD stuff.  I don’t know. 

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Budget?

 

A 3080 is basically immediatly to the 2k price for a laptop that doesnt cook it.

 

A lenovo legion 7 with amd or intel would do well.
