idk i havent had this problem b4 mainly bc i dont download things onto my hard drive but it seems like a new problem to me

and with the health of the hhd i havent ever tested that plus im broke asf

Download crystaldiskinfo, see what it says for the health of the drive.

Reallocated sectors count is the number of sectors on the HDD whose data had to be moved somewhere else because of an error. That means there is a fair number of sectors on the drive that are effectively dead. That's certainly not a good sign.

At the very least I would back up the data that is on it, so you don't lose stuff when it dies. Quite possible you'll have to replace it soon.

damnnnnnnnn ig i have to save up money for like 10 months and get another hhd the good thing being that i have niothing important on this drive

also these experiences of this laptop has tought me never to buy dell things ever again first my ram exploded literally then my power button cable desoldered itself off (ill later on send a video of it once ark finishes the download) and third the hard drive is failing ig imma just get another laptop im not gonna deal with this no more

HDD's don't belong in laptops anymore. The movement and getting tossed in backpacks etc is not great. Go SSD, it's more $ but they tend to last longer in laptops.
