Wow EVGA.... WOW!

Black_Vanguard07

Soooo .... about 2 weeks ago my video card from EVGA died, it was a GTX 660 Ti SC-barely 7 months old and I sent it back to them. It just arrived today and to my amazement, only used it for about 4 hours and as soon as I exited a game.... BOOM- I'm greeted with artifacts all over my screen! SERIOUSLY??? Do manufacturers even bother to test their products -ESPECIALLY RMA replacements and just ship out refurbished products all willy nilly??? I live all the way in Trinidad! It isn't exactly cheap to ship stuff all the way to Calafornia!(TT$500 which is about USD$78)

What bothers me the most, is what's there to say that this won't happen again? I could ship them this faulty card and end up just getting another faulty one in return... AGAIN!

Okay, well EVGA has fantastic rep.  It could be something else in your system causing this?  Power Supply?  Just my opinion.

Been there, though not with the same issue. Test some more to be sure it's not just an unstable OC or something then call them up and explain the situation. They are good people and they listen, odds are they'll hook you up nice like they did for me. Don't believe me? check the last link in my signature.

"EVGA is so good it can't possibly be their fault"

Seriously.  Every time I see this situation I spit in the faces of the people who talk trash on anyone that isnt their favorite company.

They are, that doesn't mean that shit doesn't happen to their products though. Every company has faulty products, suddenly saying that a company is crap because you've read a few reviews from angry people doesn't make sense. The dissatisfied customers are ALWAYS louder than the satisfied ones, hence why every failure from a product from a company that is seen as a good brand gets blown out of proportion.

A lot of products are damaged during shipping. Also, it may be something in your system that caused the issues with both graphics cards.

Well...ya probably right about that. The OP's experience with EVGA hasn't altered what I think about them which is that they're an AWESOME company. :D

This suggests to me that your display cord may well be a potential issue, are you seeing RGB dots (can be more of one color) on the desktop? If so use a different cord and see.

OP also didn't mention if they're running overclocked if they are it could be an unstable OC, this is really a post the OP needs to make on the EVGA forums. Their reps actively patrol the forums and you'll get a response from an EVGA employee within a day or so maybe two at the most as long as he's reasonable and not a total dick.

I even went as far as using another monitor with a different cable... same result....

The first card didn't have the same problem. The EVGA rep said that a memory module 'burned out'.

could you under clock it to normal clocks?

Sorry, but when I said there were artifacts I didn't mean just one or two small blips of them, they cover the entire screen so I can't see a thing.

I said the card was a GTX 660 Ti SC....as in SuperClocked. It's a factory overclocked card.

Time for you to write a strongly worded email to their support.

I wasn't referring to the factory clock, I was referring to any overclock you might have added yourself.

Mail them and ask that they pay for shipping as this is unacceptable.

I had a z68 sli motherboard from EVGA and all the usb ports went out. I mailed back and they sent me a new one, still the USB ports didn't work. To my suprise it had nothing to do with the hardware, the drivers were broken. It goes to show how much EVGA pays attention.

I'd e-mail them again. They'll probably offer to pay shipping given this is the second time, if not demand it, they'll probably say yes

Lol, the card went to shambles before I had a chance. Only functioned for a few hours straight out the box.
