Wifi

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

1. Open Settings/System/About

2. Click the "Advanced system settings" option.

3. Click the Hardware tab.
4. Click the "Device Installation Settings" button.

5. Choose the "No (your device might not work as expected)" option.

6. Click the Save Changes button.
 7. Click the OK button.

Be aware this option disables any driver from being updated

If an update is required for a component or peripheral, you will have to install it manually. Or you can undo the changes using the same instructions mentioned above, but on step 5, choose the "Yes" option.

When using this approach, you will only disable the hardware installation with drivers from Windows Update. The system will continue to be able to detect specific generic drivers, where you can update the singly, instead of Windows doing it automatically.

Sorry for posting on here so often but I keep hitting roadblocks

I found the root cause for the BSODs I was getting (See profile for more info) which was the new driver to my wifi. Is there anyway I could use the wifi card and have the new drivers (because my wifi is running at a tenth of what it should be running at)

I am currently running the drivers from 2021 when the card was released and praying

When it comes to drivers if the newer one is broke I tend to go the the previous version. You continue to go backwards from the newest until you find one that works. Then wait for them to release the next version and hope it fixed the issues.

Slow WiFi might not be a driver level issue. It could be a WiFi issue.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I am like 99% sure its a driver issue because my phone gets 300-400 mbps and my pc gets like 20-30, as for the rest thanks and ill try that
