Bleach?

Go to solution Solved by X1XNobleX1X,

I need to clean off my waterblocks/rads. Could I mix some bleach with water and run it through for a while and then use pure DI water after that? All it is for is to remove some staining done by my watered down EK premix blue. I tested it on a tube and it worked perfectly.

Thanks.

Don't use bleach! Oxidation rate is increased and waterblocks corrode quicker.

Not even just for like an hour to clean everything off? Should I just use pure water instead?

Try to buy distilled water, it's the best option,

So you mean to just run distilled water through to flush everything instead of bleach+DI water?

Yes

Na but srs just get a toilet scrubber for your res + shit ton of paper towels and 10 gallons of distilled, it'll last forever

They have toilet scrubbers at walmart that have bristles and foam squishy thingies, you just stick it inside the res and spin it in circles while dumping distilled water in, cleans it SOOOO good

Yes

Could warmed distilled water be any different than ambient temp distilled water? Yes, it's from a youtube video, but it got me curious.

I personally used a really diluted mix of bleach n distilled water. used it inside my entire loop. including my bitspower fittings and cpu block. so far no negative side affect has occurred, now of course when i say diluted i mean really diluted. and only ran for 10ish minutes before a constant flush of clean distilled water for another 5 minutes occurred. i will say i either got lucky or was simply playing with fire while controlling the fuel.

He said it increase oxidisation, it probably does but I guarantee it won't be noticeable, just use bleach it'll be fine, seriously it's not gonna start corroding your waterblocks straight away, just rinse it off after with distiller water.
