Recommend CPU for RTX 3080?

I'm planning on building a new pc and using the RTX 3080. What would be the best CPU to pair with it. I play a lot of niche games (Examples: Civ 5, Factorio, and, State of Deacy 2) that I think would benefit from a better CPU than your average GPU and CPU pairing but I'm not sure. What would you recommend?

anything ryzen 3000/ intel 10th gen or newer should work perfectly. ryzen 5 5600x is a good value right now, im running one right now and its fantastic.

In terms of price, just something that makes sense price to performance wise

No it's not. Often a 12400F or 5600 is cheaper and performance is pretty much the same.

Depends on what resolution you're gaming at whether it's worth buying a 3080..
