Black flashing lines suddenly appeared on my HP E233 monitor

Hello guys,

I have this HP E233 monitor for 3 years now with no problems but while using it last night, black lines have appeared in the bottom part of the monitor with a pink line and blinking every 4 seconds.

 

i have tried:

- Changing HDMI cord

-Plugging different device in the monitor

but the lines is still present even if its not connected in any device. the warranty just expired last month and looking for things I can do to repair this.

If it's across all devices then it's a problem in the monitor. Either way you look at it, it's not worth it to repair it. You can find similar used monitors under $100 and any replacement part is likely more expensive - be it the mainboard or the panel - not to mention time consuming. Or get a new one, these specs go for around $150.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
