Geforce 4 ti 4600 no display

I'm trying to get a geforce 4 ti 4600 to work on a windows 98 machine but I cannot get any display, I have geforce 71.84 drivers installed and I get display just fine with a riva tnt 2, but I tested two 4600's, both have no display, the chip heats up on both of them not much though, a normal amount for an idle gpu, and after about a minute or so the system powers off

 

iWill KD266, athlon xp 1600+ 320mb ram, windows 98 unofficial service pack 3

what board are you attempting to use.

no sense talking drivers if the machine doesn't even post

AGP compatibility is weird... Most likely the board and the GPU are incompatible.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Fedora 38 x86_64

Home Laptop: Intel Core i5-L16G7, 8 GB 4267 MHz LPDDR4x, Windows 11 Home 22H2 x86_64

Work Laptop: Intel Core i7-10510U, NVIDIA Quadro P520, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x86_64

It does post just not with the 4600, the riva tnt 2 posts just fine

are the cards 3.3v or 1.5v

again the drivers are not relevant if the machine doesnt post
