Hi so i've been looking at this RAM (Its DDR3 but i don't really care about it) and it seems to have the exact same specifications, however i'm not sure if they're the same company or so. Is it going to be alright if i combine my current RAM with this seemingly exact specification RAM i'm looking at?

Thanks!

Should be fine, but there are no guarantees. Maybe mention the specs and particular RAM you're looking at?

You can use CPU-Z to get the specifics of the RAM you have right now.

CPU-Z can only give the specs related to timings, there is nothing about the IC's (Internal Chips) when you use it.
Some sticks can have identical specs by rated speed and timings but still not be compatable with other sticks because different IC's can have different voltage requirements for example.

It's best not to mix sets because of this.
I'm not saying you can't, just don't be suprised if it doesn't work well or at all.

Okay so my RAM is made by a company called SK Hynix. I have two 4 gbs of it. Its DDR3 and 1600 MHZ. I have attached the a photo of it and what CPU Z says. The annoying thing is that i'm buying from a website called CEX in which they show pictures of RAM as just an illustration as the ram they sell is from those who sold it to them(as its a place where you buy used stuff) but i have shown what they only say about it. Thanks
