Hello

Im looking for input on a replacement monitor for my LG Unveils UltraGear 34GK950.

The both 34" and curvature with a fits me well. And currently the monitor is mount with a monitor arm, I like to continue with that as well.

Perhaps Dell Alienware AW3423DW ?

No curve though.

It is curved. And it's pretty much the only noticeable upgrade.

Everything else on the 34" ultrawide market will be very similar to the GK950. Just more of the same IPS panel.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

The Dell Alienware AW3423DW is curved, as its predecessors

But imho the LG34GK950 is a quite good monitor, it'll be worth to wait a bit to have better and more diverse OLED monitors

nah, the AW3423DW is QD-OLED, which is quite different (and way better) than any standard IPS and even Samsung QD stuff

Amazon reviews of the LG monitor are not too favourable: https://www.amazon.com/LG-34GK950G-B-34-21-Ultragear/dp/B07JVGLJ6R#customerReviews

That's what i said. It's the only real upgrade.

Everything else is the same IPS stuff.

I see 4/5, with 10% 1/5 due to defects, dead pixels, usual stuff you can RMA easily but makes customers immediately give a bad review 😞

otoh  Rtings review is quite good, they only complain about the meh HDR https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/34gk950f-b

That's "34GK950F-B" - 144Hz

While OP has "34GK950G" - 120Hz

But yeah I'm not too familiar with these monitors...

Yeah, the Rtings review (near the end, waaaayyy below !) has a table about the various versions, and the G is the 120Hz GSync version vs the F which is 144Hz FreeSync, but they're basically the same thing
