PC Issues

So, I've been trying to get the full 16gb ram to work (had this pc for 4 years), it only is running 8. I tried to fix it which I thought I did but it just went back to the 8. I reset my pc and re plug my ram to see if maybe one was messed up but I think they work. I tried to play a couple games and they keep crashing on me. I don't know why, before sometimes my pc would run into a problem and have to restart. Before I could play games, but I noticed my pc is only using 8 gb instead of the 16, now I cant even play games. So to sum it up, how do I get the full 16, why is my game crashing is it because of the settings in the game like fps or something(sometimes the game would crash or my pc would) before this didn't happen. I had another problem too where my pc 50/50 of the time would "run" into a problem and it would restart, after one time itt would work for the rest of the day. This only started happening maybe a couple of months ago. I changed my ssd and hdd a couple of weeks ago, if that is useful information. Is this problem a power supply problem? Is everything in my bois look right? I need help with my Ram issue, I have game and pc problems, and before( hasn't happened yet) my pc ran into a lot of problems(restarting).

I have it in a2 and b2 and with the xmp do I want it at 1 or 2. Are both my ram sticks there? And the values are right? Why is windows only running 8gb.

Try use "unlink" mode in advanced dram configuration. They are different and will not work in dual anyway. And then place them in B1 + B2 for test.

They are the same 8gb ram stick. But I did see the value where different. I’ll try that.

But that "unlink" mode works for different pairs, not different sticks. So place for test in B1+B2 (or A1+A2) slots.

Now it won’t show display, and my pc keeps turning off and on. I was wonding is it because I have too much shit plugged into the pc and the area. My pc isn't getting enough power. I got my pc to turn on. So now the pc is running but I can’t play any games, they crash after a little while.

I change the power options to 100% to 95%, re set my drivers, did a couple of performance options and so far, so good. I played tarkov for like 10 minutes no crash and I did a benchmark with furmark, didn't crash. Temp is a lil high though, I haven't cleaned my pc in while. I was wondering could it be my antivirus? I have to turn it off to download anything or open stuff. Like the fur, it would start downloading and crash, but with antivirus off it works. some games are like that too, and some games I have to run as administrator, or they won't open, like rust, I can't play unless I open as administrator. I was thinking it might be a power supply I have a 2080, with intel7 with 650mw. I have no idea how to check if it's the power supply.

I still can't play rust, my pc hasn't crashed yet, but the game keeps crashing when I'm either in the game or loading into it.

You're using two different kits of RAM. What are your XMP settings right now? Try disabling that to see if it fixes your issues with games.
