Realistically that's already how many are licensed, that's how we are.

 

However SaaS pricing structures can go take a jump off a cliff, I hate this change. It'll have to be ridiculously affordable or come with feature access increases for me to support this.

I'm sure folks like Linus are going to love this given how much he dislikes businesses going from Perpetual Licensing to Subscription models and nagging until you subscribe. It's ridiculous the way SaaS has become so prevalent, but because people need their software they can do it. (See: TeamViewer)
