Hello, 

can i mix different size ram kits of the same brand togehter? 
2x 8gb 3200 mhz cl16 with 2x 16gb 3200 mhz cl16

both Corsair Vengeance LPX LP black DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit…. both have same voltage and all that…

but heres the thing im not sure about 

trpd, trp, tras differ…

8gig kit has trcd18, trp18, tras 36

16gig kit has trcd20, trp20, tras38. 
 

Can i mix them without hesitation or shall i get rid of one kit?

It is not recommended, but it can be done.

 

However, your RAM performance will be limited to the performance of the weakest RAM Stick, eg. the higher performing RAM sticks downlock themselves to match the slower RAM stick.

No. Instability could happen, but doesn’t have too.

It won't hurt anything to try, but you might not get all the performance the memory is theoretically capable of.

 

Worst case, your PC will be unstable. If that happens, pop the low capacity DIMMs out.

I currently use a system with mixed RAM (different manufacturer and different speeds).

Everything works fine most of the time, but what can happen is that some applications may crash (as when you run out of memory) and you may get the occasional MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD.

However, this is very rare.
