ASUS X54C laptop shuts off at random

So, I love my laptop for all it has been. Until 3 weeks ago, when it started shutting off at random. I was in Google Docs, and it shut off. So, I thought, "Hey, the battery is dead", but no. The battery was at 24% charge. If it was dead, it would hibernate and resume once plugged in. But it had crashed Windows, and shut all the way down without my permission just using 2 tabs in Chrome. It is not overheating, and I ran antivirus and antimalware software on it. Nothing came up, except a few root files from a game and a bitcoin miner. So, what can be going wrong? To fix it, I have to plug the computer in. That's not right. What is happening?
