Razer or Corsair keyboard

Gamerboy1996

I am building my first gaming pc, pc case is mostly corsair (Ram, power suppy, case, cooler) i would like to get a good corsair gaming keyboard from Amazon, but i don't know if Razer is better... can you please reccomend good corsair gaming keyboards (with numpad) full size, but i will use it mostly for first person shooters.

IDK if i should get 4 years old Corsair K70 MK2 , they say it's good, but it's 4 years old...

If you're building mostly all corsair internally, then go corsair externally to limit software bloat needed to control multiple sets of RGB.

For the price, pre-builts are pretty garbage for the most part. At least, if they're coming from a "gaming" based company like Corsair or Razer, etc. They're typically more focused on RGB aesthetics than the user experience. I disagree with the above.

Check out some keyboards from IQUNIX. They come with pre-lubed switches, and have solid build quality across their product range. I personally recommend the TTC Gold Pink switches, and an 80-series board. The A80 explorer is probably my favorite.

Check out the sound test to help decide which switches you may prefer. Here's a video covering them:

PS: Don't trust Badseed Tech's opinion on anything other than keyboards. He's made an idiot of himself in terms of the audio space, and can be found outright lying on occasion. It's sometimes hard to tell whether he does it on purpose or just doesn't understand the terminologies, but either way I don't respect his opinion on anything else. He gave the HD58X and HD6XX overwhelmingly positive reviews, and complimented them for having "excellent... excellent soundstage and imaging" (yes, he said it twice), while the contrary has been widely documented. He also made false claims about the advantages of an open-back headphone designs. He lost his audiophile card the second that one video went live.

I had the K70 for a few years, and loved it. Ditched it when I went to MacBook Air as my daily laptop (windows keys hurt my brain when trying to remember where the Mac system keys are).  I'd still recommend the K70, it was always a solid keyboard for me, never had any issues.

Right on!  I wanted to go TKL for a cleaner desk setup, but I use my numpad way too much, so I ended up with a KeyChron K4.  Has a condensed layout, so its a compromise between size and function.
