I’m currently stuck on choosing the unlocked version or the locked version. I’m not going to be overclocking. The 12600kf cost 50 ca dollars more then the non k and doesn’t come with a cooler. Does 12600kf and 12600 have the same stock performance or is 12600kf faster stock? Also, if the stock performance for both are the same, is the cooler that comes with 12600 good enough?

The biggest advantage with the 12600K verses the 12600 non-K is the fact that the -K SKU has E cores and the non-K does not. If you're gonna be doing a lot of multi core stuff, go for the -K, but if you're just gonna be gaming save your money and go 12400(F) (the performance difference between the 12600 and the 12400 is very minimal, might as well save the $20). The cooler that comes with the 12400 is enough to cool it.

IMO, the 12600K isn't really an i5 since it's layout is much different than all the other i5s of the generation. It's more of an i6 than anything else.
