Question about quality/longevity of clothing items

Seabottom

I absolutely hate buying clothes online, because the risk of it not fitting properly is just so big.

So with that in mind, I'd really also like to know how much the shirts shrink. I usually buy size Large, but this being US/Canada Large probably means oversized XXXL. I like the pictures of staff with size ID, makes it really easy but still, do these clothing items shrink? I wash everything on 60°C and tumble dry straight after. Don't try to change my mind about washing.

It's not a problem for certain types of clothes and I have no idea why. Is it cotton? Wool? Polyester? Does it only apply to mixed fabrics? In any case, I'll just get a size larger if it does shrink in the wash, no biggie. I just need to know if they might.

I buy XXL and they fit true and havent shrunk on me but I wash in cold. Not sure if you are washing warmer than that.

Washing in hot water is a waste of electricity. Cold water is perfectly fine. I have not had any issues with LTT gear, but i wash everything cold and hang dry.

Washing in 40° may get the dirt out of the clothes, but there still might be bacteria present. Also cold water doesn't get the .cum stains out properly. And hang dry? Ain't no one got time for that.

Based in New Zealand.

I reckon I'll just buy one t-shirt and use it for a few months to see how it holds up before committing.
