Laptop screen "rot" like problem

So I bought a laptop on ebay I knew it had damage but it was £50 so I bought it and I thought the screen wouldn't be much of a bother but now I see it is very annoying sometimes and I want to see if there is a way to fix it and a note is it I poke it it sometimes moves to another pixel and when I searched it up it comes up with a game boy problem called screen rot

Can you get a macro shot of it?

 

Maybe it's damage to the top anti-glare layer of the screen, or its adhesive is degrading somehow. Sometimes you can peel that off (and remove its glue residue with alcohol), but it's easier to just replace the whole LCD assembly.

Looks like a broken panel to me. What laptop is this? Could be that a new screen is so expensive you might as well buy a different laptop.

I'll look at buying a replacement screen then.
