Dropped walter on the laptop

My girlfriend accidentally dropped walter from her cup on the laptop. The laptop was on and plugged but luckyly closed.

It's possible something got damaged, because walter could have spread electricity from the outside plastic to the inside motherboard or components ?

plastic doesn't conduct electricity so where is the source of the electricity coming from the outside of the machine

From the energy cable that was plugged at the moment because the laptop was on, but the walter just fell on top of the plastic area as the laptop was closed.

With the lid closed, less likely, but isolation in a bed of rice for 24 hours should avert any potential damage.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

But the laptop was on and plugged at the moment, thats why i'm so worried. Sorry for being paranoid but this laptop has less than a year.

again plastic doesn;t conduct electricity so I don;t know why you;d think the laptop would have an issue with water touching nothing related to electricity on the laptop
