Since you just want a pat answer, and not the actual benefit of learning from people who've been building PC's for years or decades (since after all, you've watched LTT videos for a year, you know what's "true" and what isn't), I'm going to recommend you buy Asus GPU's. They tend to be one of the most, if not the most expensive, because they're probably the closest thing in the space to a "prestige" brand, and you seem like the type of person who would appreciate that.

Yo bruh, you're a serious douche knuckle. As with most of the people in my career  field... You guys are all some really rude condescending pricks.

I don't know if it was all the years tucked away alone in your mom's basements or some shit but you guys can stop being Internet tuffguy douche tool bags.

You took what I said about Nikes and cut out all the context then white person quoted it to sound superior and bro, you can go right ahead and take that the fuck back and swallow that L cuz you wouldn't talk to people like that in person...

I also bet you my yearly wage to yours, you fuckin simp, that there's one company (definitely not the one you said) that is a standout when making consistently better GPUs...

Put the money up or shut up.

People like you who answer like cunts when someone asks a simple question are why there's violence in the world.

Idiot.

Smfh... Thanks for all the help. This scum bag forum is definitely not the "Place to look for real help aside from a bunch of rude virgins answering instead."

🖕🏿🖕🏾🖕🏽🖕🏼🖕🏻🖕

Hi all,

New to the forum and been watching LTT vids about a year now...

I see a lot on GPUs, of course, especially with the shortage.

But one thing I never really see (up to date videos or news on) is what Brand GPU is the best pound for pound/bang for your buck?

I don't mean NVIDIA or AMD, I mean brands like Zotac, MSI, EVGA etc...

I also did look here before I posted but honestly, I just want an answer. I've been looking for about a week.

Please let me know what brand and why you think so.

All opinions are welcome and encouraged because I want to look at all the answers and make my decision from all that info (in one place) lol.

Thanks in advance.

None.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Ok... That's great advice. So, you mean to say, that I can forget about the GPU altogether and still game with the big dogs without one?

No, I am saying that as in virtually all other areas of PC building, there is no "best" brand and buying based on brand is dumb.

Nah, that's not true... As with anything, there's gotta be a clear standout...

Like I buy Nikes cuz they're the best value for shoes imo... I can have a pair of Nikes daily worn for 5-8 years... That's way cheaper over all than "saving money up front" with some Walmart shoes and a better product too... Better materials and they do their job better.

So, thanks for your very eccentric and quippy reply but I was serious.

1v1?

There really isn't one. You need to compare individual cards vs. individual cards. On some GPUs, one brand may be the best value, but for another, they may have pretty poor offerings. It also changes depending on pricing in your region and availability. Some cards area only available in the EMEA region, some in NA, or have massively varying prices, some go on sale, sometimes all of them are decent and you should just go with the cheapest that's in stock etc. etc.

I also just looked for 3080 variants and the performance varies from best card to one of the worst in the same cards. you cant really say that brand allways deöivers good products since even 3080 has multiple cards of the same basis(3080.3090 etc).As far as i could tell you have to look up each card on its own and see if they are any good.

Brand only has to do with price of the product and quality of customer service.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

You can't judge the quality of the cards based on brand. If you compare a 3070 to an RX 580 for example the best would be a different brand.

The only thing that makes some difference purely looking at the manufacturer is the customer support. For example EVGA is known for having great support, while Gigabyte is probably the worst out there. Even this still depends on country and in some cases retailer.

well you're right

dont buy modern asrock motherboards, they've terrible for many generations now

in term of good products, or cheapest for the quality, that depends not only on particular models, it also depends on regional pricing

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I love my ASRock board.

In any case, even if there were a clear worst (which in the case of boards, though that isn't what he asked about, it would obviously be Biostar), that doesn't mean there's a clear best.
