I'm not too sure if this is the right spot to be asking this question since I'm kinda new here so if this isn't the right spot I apologize. Now for the question. I have a new Ryzen 5 5600 and I know I will need a bios update on my motherboard when I get it, which will hopefully be next week, and I was wondering if I would need to perform a bios flashback before I can do anything like installing windows. I'm not well versed on what goes first on the software side of building a PC and the videos I've watched never mention anything about what would happen if you need to perform a bios flashback. If anyone can help me understand or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it immensely and I'm not sure if the motherboard type I'm getting matters, but just in case it does I'll be getting a Gigabyte B550 AORUS Elite. Any and all feedback is very appreciated!

Are you buying the Elite v1 or V2?

You can flash the bios with or without a CPU or ram since your motherboard has qflash plus. All you need to do is put the bios you want to install on the flash drive and plug it into the white port on the back of the motherboard and press the qflash button, after that an LED should light up indicating that it's updating the bios and it should be finished when the led turns off. You could also update the bios inside the bios itself assuming you already have a compatible CPU installed and ram inside the bios using qflash.

Wow that's way simpler then I was expecting and really relieving to hear since I've been kinda nervous about it. Thank you so much for the info and help!
