Also how can I see my RAM speed, I try to find it everywhere but  Ican't see it, on task manager it does not pop up image.png.69f0eea5f8a66d0e5a759267b3d65ddf.png

Maybe I am blind but I still don't see my RAM speed, in my BIOS, Set Memory Clock for ram is on Auto and it shows 1866MHz but I can't see that anywhere I tried many different apps, any way to fix this? image.thumb.png.b5c02a4f0ca54ca4d7d34f82bc2c9ef3.png

Shows how much memory is on one chip (die).

In your case 4Gb = 0.5GB or 512MB so you use 8GB RAM and have 16 DRAM dies on one memory stick.

One memory die looks like this

Not sure why it doesn't show you memory speed in Task Manager. How old Windows version do you run?

For me it's right next to the other info

image.png.5ba6d6afc2ff802186bc10b5e5e7c39c.png

But it looks like you're running 1866MT/s DDR3

image.png.57794a35c08681e391dc2b461942f3f6.png

DDR = Double Data Rate so 933MHz x 2 = 1866MT/s (even though manufacturers and most people say it would be 1866MHz... that's incorrect)

You can check CPU-Z, it might tell you the speed. If not it's likely that this platform is just too old to support reporting.

It means the clock speed is 933 MHz, while the "effective" clock speed is 1866 MHz (or more correctly 1866 MT/s). Because DDR memory can do two transfers per clock cycle (dual data rate) its effective speed is double that of the physical frequency.

is that good or no?

It's a pretty decent speed for DDR3, yes. The fastest commercially available speed is 2133 MT/s (or "effective" clock speed of 2133 MHz, 1066 MHz actual clock speed). You have the next step down which is 1866 MT/s (or 933 MHz physical clock speed).

~edit: CPU-Z shows that you're using single channel memory. If you want to get better speeds, get a second matched stick to get dual channel.

Can I overclock this RAM, its hows 1866 MHz in the BIOS, what should I put it to? How much MHz is safe for me.

I'm trying to overclock my RAM thru an oldass bios and there are no tutorials online so I'll share some pictures if someone knows what I should change please say so.

So first, memory clock, my RAM MHz is 2x 933MHz( In a single stick, Not 2 separate sticks) so that is 1860 MHz as it shows here, I didnt modify it yet. I have 2 options to change this to, 2133 MHz and 2400 MHz, which one should I choose? Next, DRAM configurations just tell me what to change to every option, also if there is something more I should worry about tell me.

I don't recommend you to OC RAM unless you're willing to spent days doing it and doing your own research. It's the most complicated thing to OC and requires a lot of propper testing to avoid data corruption on your drives otherwise you may lose all your files quite easily even if your OC appears to work.

Besides that... 1866MT/s is quite good for DDR3 and there is little to no benefit from pushing it any further. RAM clock is closely tied with RAM latency as well so having faster clock doesn't mean you will have faster RAM if you will need to increase the latency as well.

wellp I already posted a question on how to do it hopefully no one tells me how to cuz I probably will do it xd

If you could double your sticks to get dual channel, that would have a much greater impact on performance than any overclock you can do. Dual channel doubles your memory throughput. Even if you could overclock all the way to 2400 MT/s, that would only be a ~28% increase. Which would likely require an increase in CAS latency (CL), as was said, and increase in voltage.
