I got a m25-w case and i am stuffing it up with an 3070ti and an i7 12700k, but i am guessing i need a lot of cooling so i plan on buying lot of stuff with it. I looked at my case specs to see what i could fit in it, and i came up with this setup, thing is, i dunno sh*t about airflow and intake/exhaust, so i am asking here, how should i put them? drawing arrows with paint is appreciated xd

If you put it that way, the gpu will absorb some of the hot heat from the rad.

Rad on top blowing air out, the 2 intake fan should be in the front supplying cool air for both rad and gpu.

That case doesn’t look to have very good airflow at all.

Is it to late to pick a different case?

ehmm, kinda? like no, i could. But i cant afford nothing special, what would you recommend? Putting in thought that i got a 33 cm gpu. Anyways, just out of curiosity, why is it that bad?

Well actually if you can put a 3x120mm fan on top, i don't see why you cannot put the rad there. Unles there's a clearing issue.

If you buying a 3070ti and a 12700k, you should be able to spend enough to get a good enough case to put them in.

The front panel looks to be almost fully blocked off, leaving very little room for air to actually get into the case.

There are plenty of Corsair cases or fractal design cases for example that have plenty of airflow. Gamers nexus does pretty thorough case airflow reviews, I’d give them a look and see what performs well, is in your budget, and is a look you like. I’d aim to spend around 120 bucks a decent case that fits all of those requirements, maybe even as low as 90 bucks.

It will likely fit, but the plastic shrouds/look good bits over the VRM of the mobo would have to come off. The “look good” shrouds usually are flush with the top of the IO shield (top being the part closest to the side panel) and the fans/rad would interfere with this most likely. But you can usually take those off very easily. I did that in my case to allow for a 45mm top radiator instead of a standard 30mm. Just 2 screws and pulled out the RGB power cable and the plastic shroud comes right off, my old mobo I had done the same. If your willing to do this, it almost certainly sure will fit. Or if whatever mobo your getting doesn’t have “fancy shrouds” around the VRM it would likely be fine as well.

But this still doesn’t help the fact the front of the case doesn’t look like it allows for much airflow.

My fractal define s2 has the same look, but has pretty significant areas for air to get through on the sides. It may be out of your budget, but give it a look. I love it…

Well in general it suppose to work, i don't see why it wouldn't, like i said if you can install 3 120mm fan, in theory you can use 2x120mm radiator.

It may interfere with mobo VRM, VRM plastic shroud/covers, or even the CPU socket/water block itself if there isn’t much extra space on top. You end up running into clearance issues if the case wasn’t designed for it. The radiator will likely mount just fine, but fitting both the rads/fans and mobo may not work out. Just depends.

But those shrouds serve a purpose in keeping the VRMs cool, so if you remove them in a case that has poor front ventilation, you could run into issues later on.

Sometimes you have to give up aesthetics. & when it comes to Cases, airflow should be your priority.

I made a thread about it…

But you can also find decent looking Cases focussed on airflow…I love my Corsair 4000D Airflow for eg.

Not really. 99% of them are literally just plastic covers, they don’t have fans or anything. Under the plastic cover there are heatsinks, if anything the plastic cover actually harms heat dissipation as it blocks all airflow to the VRM heatsinks.

If the shroud has an integrated fan, which very, very few do, then I would agree. But in most cases they are just plastic covers to cover up the “not as clean looking” VRM heatsinks.

It does, it just doesn’t look like much. You also need a large gap between the actual front of the case and where the fans are. Without a gap it’s hard to actually suck air in.

From what I can see it would be better to put the Radiator on top of the case.

Just to prevent the pump from running dry

1 inch gap is ideal and posably to put fan on the inside to get more space. wont be as good as a front intake with no sold front thow...
