I just need help to choose (GTX 970 or RTX 2060 for host/VM?)

I am setting up a linux pc with two gpus. One is a GTX 970 and the other is a RTX 2060. One of these will be for a VMs and the other for the host.
I just cant decide on which.

 

I will be mainly in the host, and try to game mostly in the host.

You dont need a GPU for a VM. What exactly is the reason you are looking to assign a GPU to vm? Considering both are Nvidia GPUs, use the one you feel like it.

For fun and more graphic intensive tasks.

In that case I'd use the faster/more modern GPU on the host and the other one for the VM. If you're not doing anything in the VM that requires 3D acceleration (or only occasionally), no real need to bind the faster GPU to it.
