Is it… safe?

So… I got bored and had a CPU fan laying around. Few cuts and twists here and there, now it works with the case fan (which is taken from a PSU). They work on a single connector but how safe is it?

I'd wrap the bare wire in some electrical tape or shrink-wrap, but functionally it's fine. No different than an off-the-shelf fan splitter... if a bit more janky  

 

Motherboard headers are typically rated for up to 1 amp, so two fans are fine.

I’ve wrapped it up after taking the photo, just wanted to clear if it’s fine or should be better off with a splitter. Got bored at 2AM, tested and it worked

Its safe, But 2 different fans on same header is only rly recommended if they within 100rpm (maybe 200) of each other
