Asus argb to d-rgb compatibility?

Hello all,

Was wondering if anyone else has run into this. I recently upgraded from a z390 master gigabyte board to an Asus z690 hero and got everything running and plugged in my ekwb water block to the argb header which was drgb on gigabyte but the block isn't lighting up. Is there possibly a compatibility issue or something software?

drgb? (I guess it's "aRGB" but different overall)

there is mostly aRGB (addressable RGB lights) or RGB, and then you have custom plugs.

Which is different and would need something else, some use a RGB HUB or similar depending on the plug you are trying to use.

so see how many pins and many holes the cables have. the RGB space is in quite a mess around this. Some use their own systems and hubs.
