New monitor advice

Looking into getting a new monitor, currently using a 32", 1080p, 144hz monitor, and am planning to change this into my secondary and the new one becoming primary, and was hoping for some advice, I use a 3080 atm so the gpu won't be an issue, and I'm currently considering getting a 27" 1440p, but wanted to know what others think I could should get, and some good monitors to look into (I'd like good price to performance, I don't want to be spending 400+ on a monitor), and was also wondering if mixing resolutions could affect performance

I'd recommend 32" 1440p 165Hz or faster.

Budget? That AOC 49" DQHD is a hell of a monitor when paired with FancyZones

Did some searching around on the web for reviews of monitors in my price range (sub $/€450) and this one had multiple very positive reactions from reputable reviewers. Plus it seems rather inexpensive for what it offers. Granted: When I last shopped for a monitor, a 32'', 1440p/165 Hz model would probably have cost more than my entire PC... 🙂

sorry, didn't say, but I don't want over 32", since I feel like to me, over that is just a waste, especially since I sit close to the monitor

Define "close to the monitor".  My eyeballs are 30" from a 40" display, and 40" is definitely not a waste.

 

Mixing resolutions doesn't affect performance...but it does create display notch issues with screen real-estate; meaning that you'll have to move your mouse to get inside the smaller display, rather than a seamless transition between equal, symmetric resolutions.
