valorant vangaurd secure boot unsupported

when I try to open valorant there's a popup message saying that I need TPM 2.0 and secure boot enabled. I've went through BIOS settings many times, I've got TPM 2.0 but my pc seems to say that the secure boot is unsupported. a lot of tutorials say to have legacy off and only UEFI on but that blocks my windows from starting. i've already tried disabling CSM but that also stops windows. i've heard of converting the SSD to GPT but you have to pay for that..? 

 

i am on windows 11 pro

Open Msconfig and set to boot into Safe Mode / Safe Boot. 

Then, change the setting that prevented the boot into Windows.

Boot into Windows (safe mode), open Msconfig and set the settings for regular boot.

reboot.

tried this and it says vanguard is not initialized

Wait, why did you turn off Secure Boot and install Windows 11 on a MBR partitioned drive?

What's the rest of your system, except Windows 11; which cpu, mbo, ram, ssd, gpu, psu?

cpu is amd ryzen 5 5600x, mbo is asus b550-a, ram is corsair vengeance ddr4 2x8gb, ssd is samsung evo plus 970 1TB, gpu nvidia geforce rtx 3080, psu is corsair 850W fully modular

Do a clean install of Windows after you've turned everything on that is required to install Windows 11 the official untempered way.

do you think if i used AOMEI to convert my ssd that would work as well?

In your case it's the security settings, not just the mbr-gpt issue.

i see, i tried to reinstall my windows but when i try to restart it and remove the files or keep the files, it says that it could not find the recovery environment for the installation media. my usb flash drive says invalid directory so i dont have a way to download installation media

Create Windows install media. Use a USB thumbdrive of 8GB or larger.

im glad i dont have that game..... and now never will thanks for the heads up

 

if a game wants that much access and control it can go jump off a cliff and so can the company that made it (access to bios level settings)

That motherboard has the proper BIOS settings.

First you need to make sure TPM 2.0 is enabled.  When it's enabled you will see a "security device found" somewhere in your BIOS, with some sort of keys or weird stuff.

The next step is what throws people off.

 

You need to go to the Secure Boot options (Asus BIOS so I know it's there), and go to secure boot settings and change it from "Other OS" to UEFI/Windows.

This seems to default to "Other OS" on some BIOS versions.  Valorant doesn't like that.  

Then finally, you need to go to windows security settings and make sure exploit guard (CFG) is enabled, which I think is called control flow guard.

 

That's all you need to do.
