LTT Phone

100% dead serious.

After seeing the Oppo Find X5 Pro the niche comment of "has no micro sd card slot" with the trade out being dual sim.

My idea being a mid range phone that has a headphone jack, usb-c, dual sim, micro sd, a flat screen to eliminate any greening around the curves and maybe a physical fingerprint sensor.

Maybe try for $300-400 and work with existing companies like Motorola (because they support Right to Repair) or any companies of the plethora of BBK phones. Make the phone that OnePlus couldn't.

Have replacement parts sold directly from the online store with guides to follow, or work with iFixit to make distribution of parts easier.

Would love to hear the ideas/suggestions for this, in the meantime I'm going to go make a render for this.

The Fairphone 4 would be the closest existing thing to this. They have a power button fingerprint scanner, mid range specs, probably a flat screen, USB-C, Dual SIM, and expandable storage. However, it does not have a headphone jack, though people seem to have moved on with headphone jacks.

Horrible, horrible idea that would likely bankrupt the company.

They wouldn't have anywhere near the staff to support it properly, and the marketing for it would be even remotely viable is insane.

You also don't seem to understand what economies of scale are, as Motorola can make phones cheap like that, LTT cannot. On top of that, you want them to stock replacement parts? That is a massive endeavour on it's own, and most companies that make products (like Valve) don't even do that work themselves.

Mobile phone market is brutal. The only reason why can get a very good phone at the $200 and excellent for $400 is economy of scale and low margins.

Framework is it and they have an investment in it.

Wouldn't be surprised if they come up with a LTT themed limited edition if there ever would be an framework v2 laptop launch.

"They" do not. Linus, as an individual, separate from the company, does.
