It happened because yosemite did not detect two factor authentication.

so this is my sister macbook air 2015. since she bought a brand new macbook m1. she gave her old macbook to me and did factory reset. even fresh install macOS (Yosemite).

 

when i want to download MontereyOS from Appstore. I can't signin to mac app store, after inputing the password i get a verification code on my phone, but the mac won't get to the verification window to insert the code?

 

  • password said it  is incorrect although it was correct
  • I try with new email and same thing happened.
  • try everything even fresh start OS and clear everything
  • The Verification window not pop out

 

is it OLD Bug?

  Spec: Macbook Air 2017
