man you won a lottery....i can't even get 4.8GHZ with 1.3v

You realize that your processor is worth like $1000+... That's like a 1/1,000,000 chip...

If anyone is willing to offer me $1000 for it I'd gladly accept!

Yeah that's a golden chip

My 3770k needs 1.35V for 4.6 GHz stable. I run 1.305V 24/7 @ 4.5GHz

Thanks. I'm happy with the results I've gotten.

depends whether i can hold 8gb of ram at 2800mhz as well though a fast chip with a slow memory controller is not worth that much

Best thing to do is accept what you have, your CPU will go higher no doubt, but at what cost, be responsible, and enjoy your excellent chip, i am sure everyone here will drink and take their hats off to how good your OC is, but the only person to destroy it is you. Enjoy ;)

It's done a respectable job with my 1866MHz kit so far. It's rock stable at 2200MHz during an AIDA64 memory test. Technically one could push up to 1.9V through RAM without permanently damaging it...I wonder...

Trust me, you'll only ever see me running these over-clocks while benching. I want this chip to last me as long as possible. My 24/7 OC is 4.6GHz @ 1.175V

1.175V?

Yes, thank you for that!

Stick with your 1.29 setting for 4.9Ghz, fellow golden chip owner :)

It'll last for 4-7 years at that setting (constant) provided your PSU and VRM is stable.

You realize that your processor is worth like $1000+... That's like a 1/1,000,000 chip...

Not likely, Ivy Bridge seems way more common to find golden chips than other Intel gens. Mine gets to 5.06Ghz, and a friend of mine has one running at 5.1Ghz 24/7. (Yes I warned him not to...)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

So 1.27V isn't too high to run 24/7 to be detrimental? (1.27@4.9GHz is the lowest stable voltage I got) My AX850 and Sabertooth should be stable enough.

If you take a look in the Over-clocking forum you'll see I managed 5.1GHz and a pretty nice Cinebench score. (It was at a scary-high voltage though, 1.425V)

lol Mine does 4.5 at above 1.3V, though it is a little bit my fault.

Ouch, I feel for you, bro. Mine's currenty doing 4.6GHz at 1.175v.

I did it, with watercooling. Safe? I have no clue, but works fine and are stable. And sorry for my bad sound and engrish, not my main language.

@TheDigitalRealm

I can't believe how similar our chips are.

Did you buy it in 2014?
