SSD data recovery recommendations

My grandparents work computer died recently, SSD failure, they had some some documents backed up but not all of them. They said they heard a pop and the computer shut down, then rebooted on an old drive still in the case.

 

My question is: Is this drive recoverable and if so which company's have you guys used to recover data off damaged drives?

One that could work is https://www.cleverfiles.com/data-recovery-software.html but I am not 100% sure it will work because it needs the ssd to be in the pc and it needs to be working.

Thanks I'll keep that one in mind. I think I should have clarified a bit, the drive is completely dead and the motherboard will not detect it. I am looking for a company to mail the drive to recover the data if possible.
