Budget (including currency): $2,500 - $2,700. But I'm willing to go to $3,000 if I HAVE to.

Country: US, Massachusetts

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Entertainment, streaming, and content creation. For gaming, id probably be using Cyberpunk 2077, Minecraft, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Control, Forza, Microsoft Flight sim, etc... And for content creation probably, Adobe Photoshop, Premier pro, and OBS.

Other details

Ok so I'm building my first pc, and my budget is about, $2,500 - $2,700. But I'm willing to go to $3,000 if I HAVE to. I know I'm way overspending on some components, (especially the motherboard) and need to know if there are any great alternatives for a lower price, or anything better for the same price. The main things I would be using my pc for are as follows: Gaming, Entertainment, streaming, and content creation. For gaming, id probably be using Cyberpunk 2077, Minecraft, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Control, Forza, Microsoft Flight sim, etc... And for content creation probably, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and OBS. The soonest I'm going to be able to purchase everything is about two weeks from now. I'm from the US, more specifically, Massachusetts. I would go to a micro center, but the closest one is about a two-hour car drive away. I'm planning on being able to overclock my CPU and GPU down the line. I prefer dark cases and components, with LED lighting, (purple is my favorite color, and I think it contrasts well with the dark case and components) and a window would be preferable. I also want to be able to upgrade some of the parts in the future. I don't know if the parts I currently have chosen are all compatible with each other. No peripherals are needed. I am currently upgrading from a 2013 HP ProBook, with an i5-4300m, 8GB of DDR-3 RAM, and a SATA3 120 GB SSD. I'm planning at playing at 1440p, 120 fps, at Medium-High settings. I already bought my CPU a few months ago so I'm not including it in the total price.

$330 CPU: Core i7-11700k

Here is the list of parts I have currently selected:

$245 CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Z63
$410 Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO
$310 Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18
$220 Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2-2280
$45 Storage (Hard Drive): Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM
$1050 GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 LHR 8 GB VENTUS 3X OC
$170 Case: NZXT H510 Elite ATX Mid Tower
$190 Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2021) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified
$120 OS: Windows 11 Home

Total Price Without Tax: $2,760

Those NZXT cases look cool but they are chockers, I would personally look for a case with a front mesh, those 3000 series can get very hot. (your other compenents could get very hot as well.)

Not sure why you would need a 410 dollar motherboard, a cheaper one could definitely do the trick as well and you might be able to snag a 3080 with a cheaper Motherboard.

Also CL18 memory is not that fast, you might want to look for a set with a lower latency, this video shows you the differences:

Also, I would personally really take a look at your needs, are you studying anything with video editing? How often would you really edit video's?

Wouldn't recommend 11th gen Intel at that price. I would go with either 5800x or 12700k for that cost of CPU. There is a lot you can cut down to save money or rearrange where you are spending to get a much better value build.

Here's what I would go with:

CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12-Core Processor  ($364.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 72.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($219.99 @ Amazon)

Got you a gen 4 drive for not too much more. 12700K for CPU instead (faster and more cores :D). Better GPU with the rx 6800xt or you could go with the RTX 3070TI.

The case has to go. Thermals are terrible, especially if you're putting high power components like an 11700K and a 3070 in there. It's just going to be an Easy Bake Oven.

The AIO is WAY overpriced for the performance you're going to get out it. Well over half the cost is for the fancy LCD display on the block. If you really want that, I guess to each their own, but an Artic Liquid Freezer II 280 will beat the pants off that NZXT cooler at $100 or less.

The 11700K isn't a bad choice, but a 5800X or 12700K would be far better. The 5800X has better performance and is often available at $300 now, and if you can get it at that price, it's a no-brainer. The 12700K will beat both, but it's going to run you $100 or so more. Of course, you could get a better and cheaper cooler and roll the savings into the better CPU.

Getting a HDD in a build like this doesn't make much sense. Even a SATA SSD would be better as a game/storage drive and won't run you much more.

Thanks, Il take note on the case, RAM, and motherboard. But when I mentioned content creation I put it at the end of the list of uses for my pc, because its the least important. I'm planning on taking an AP Studio Art class soon so that's why I even put content creation at all. My main point is that its not a priority.

Recommend moving the pre-installed fans to the top and back of the case (as exhaust fans). Then you can mount the 360 AIO at the front of the case (with the fans set as intake fans).

Just a bunch of cost cutting and a platform upgrade

Now theres upto 1600$ for the gpu, though sticking to the preffered budget you still have 11/1300$ for the gpu so now you can get a better one

The windows key can be bought off a cheapkeys site like scdkeys, for that site in particular theres a 30-40% disc code at the intro of tech yes city videos
