Hello every one I'm thinking of upgrading my PC I currently have a i7-6700K but it is slow at trans-coding Blu-rays for my media server. What CPU would you recommend that's faster at trans-coding and also capable in games. Also and case recommendation with 5.25 inch drive bays as I rip the dvds/Blu-rays from my PC. Thanks

I agree with the other person. Get an Nvidia 20 or 30 series card and do GPU transcoding. It is way faster. It's only when you start getting to the extremely high presets in for example x264 or x265 (like veryslow or placebo mode) where CPU encoding edges out NVENC in compression.

It's worth noting that I wouldn't really bother with GPU encoding unless you got an Nvidia card. Intel can do it, but Intel quicksync is significantly worse than NVENC and CPU encoding if you are doing it for archival purposes which it sounds like you are.
