bios programmer's driver does not work

Hi,

 

I'm trying to reprogram a bricked bios using a CH341A (arduino) programmer but the driver doesn't work.

I've installed it as instructed in every guide I found and the dialog box said the installation was successful, but when I try to open up the programming software it does not recognize the device.

How do I fix this?

Are you certain your arduino has CH341A? because not all do. I never used CH341A to flash ROMs on windows but its fairly simple on Linux with flashrom.

Huh, I just found out something about my programmer:

The PCB says CH341A, but the chip itself says CH341B. Quite a difference, tbh. I guess I should go look for a driver for the B variant.
