Hello :)

I have a strange issue with windows which has only started happening on my new install of windows.

I would be on an internet browser or editing videos in Premiere, ect.

and this would pop up and want me to change to windows basic colour scheme as apparently my computer is running slow...

my computer is not running slow and in fact I'm only ever using a small percentage of my CPU and RAM when it happens

What is also strange is that when I'm actually doing something that might use more of the systems resources, such as screen recording a game, it doesn't appear

(This never happened on my old install of windows on the same computer)

Just a little niggle I have with my PC. I'll be interested to see if anyone else has this or if anyone knows the reason why it does this

Thank you :)

I get the same issue occasionally. When I play certain games, I find that it comes up. Even when telling it to not bring it up again, it continues to do so. Something you might just have to deal with.

Its within the "troubleshooting" messages I think in action centre,.

I had it alt-tab bf3 saying performance was low (wasnt)

Rightclicking BF3.exe, "turn off desktop composition" fixed it

Its like bf3 is using 99-100% and Win7 says... WHAT ABOUT ME...... AERO has access to nothing as BF3 is taking it, hence...the performance messages.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I tried finding that in troubleshooting, but I didn't find anything.

I tried finding that in troubleshooting, but I didn't find anything.

In action centre, under control panel.the top left pane showing "change action centre settings"

Troubleshooting is in there as a tickbox to not get messages from.

However I still think the 99% gpu usage and alt-tabbing from BF3 still happened to me, hence "disable desktop composition" on my GPU-hard games.

Thanks everyone,

it is a very strange issue

I'm going to try and turn the settngs off in the control panel

I wonder if the reason it comes up is something to to with my graphics card not being utilised on the desktop.

Although I do have a desktop pc, I know that certian laptops have it so it doesn't use the dedicated graphics when on desktop to save battery.

Because this never happens when I'm actually running games or rendering.

But even then, my on board graphics should be able to handle simple tasks easily (i7 3770k)

Who knows...

At least there is an option to turn the messages off I guess
