Trying to turn off SMT

Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 pro with 5800H and am wanting to turn off SMT, but cannot find an option for it in the BIOS.

Does anybody know how to accomplish this? Cant seem to find instructions anywhere.

Thanks

Ryzen Master can probably handle that, otherwise you can change the amount of CPU threads available in msconfig.

I'm not sure why you'd want to limit threads personally, but yeah.

If you're going for heat reduction or battery life it won't make much difference having SMT on or off. The biggest thing you can do is to limit power by disabling PBO or other 'turbo' functions or just actually capping CPU power limits.
