How to hide onedrive sync icons without disabling backups?

I remember getting rid of these a few years ago but I forgot how... Either a green cloud, or a white-and-green tick mark. I think I might have just turned off backups for the desktop, which I need now. Does anyone have any ideas?

You should be able to disable the shell extension(s) that provide the icons with 

ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows (nirsoft.net)
