Alright guys so I have this weird problem and I can't get my head around it anymore.

So a few months ago I got AT&T 1GB speed internet. I didn't had a fiber optic connection into my house so they brought in a wire from outside. They could only bring it inside my house and AT&T modem ended up being on the other side of the house compared to a hole in my house where all the wires (coaxial and Ethernet) meet. So I took a 50ft cat5e cable and plugged it in the 5GB port on modem, took the other end to the hole where all the ethernet wires run and used a switch to expand ethernet slots and plug in all the ethernet wires.

THE PROBLEM:
Randomly I will have intermittent internet issue where internet would completely disconnect to one of the ethernet connection and would keep on connecting/disconnecting for a few seconds. Not all, just one. It happens randomly. I looked at the switch and it would show like one of the ethernets lights turning off for a few seconds and turning back on. I changed the switch, issue persists. I changed the 50 ft cat5e wire to 50 ft cat6. Issue still persists. Tried connecting directly into the router and all the ethernet connection through that but still see this issue. I don't know what to do at this point.

I didn't use to face this problem with Comcast. Comcast coaxial cable would come out of that hole, I would have a router and a switch and would plug all the ethernet in that switch but here the only two variables compared to Comcast are the 50 ft wire or the AT&T fiber connection. If it was issue with that connection than shouldn't all the ports on ethernet go off? I keep contacting AT&T and they say device is working properly. I ask for a technician and that'll cost me 100$ that they'll waive only if there is a problem on AT&T side (device/connection). Any ideas what might be wrong with my setup?

The fact that one of the lights on the switch is turning off for a bit and then back on points to it not being an AT&T connection issue at all. A switch just switches packets and if a single port is randomly turning off and on then it's an issue there. If there was a connection outage between the AT&T ONT and the switch the other lights would still stay on as the switch is still passing data between those other ports.

I have a few questions but the main one is there anywhere in your network a connection that forms a loop back to the switch?

What make/model is the old and new switch you're using?

What make/model are the various routers you've got plugged in? Are they just acting in AP mode?

@LurickNo there isn't a connection that should loop back to the switch.
Switch: Before I was using D-Link DGS 1016A and now I am using TP-Link TL-SG108 V5
Router: None of the router are in AP mode. I have the following Routers Connected to the switch + My Own PC

  1. NetGear Orbi with an Orbi extender
  2. Asus RT-AC3200
  3. Google Wifi meshed another Google Wifi (No ethernet connected with that one)

Hmmmm, I wonder if there is conflicting subnet information with the three routers then causing some issue. I've got the BGW-320 myself and connected to the 5Gb port and have had no issues BUT I'm also running into a 5Gb port as well on my network.

I highly doubt it. None of the subnets conflict and it seems everything is alright. This is why it's such a headache. I don't see any subnet issues, no connection issues, and this just happens randomly and only when I have AT&T internet. Maybe something in my AT&T modem that might be cause this?

I highly doubt it, if you can connect to the BGW320 then it should be fine. Just make sure it's subnet doesn't overlap and you should be good there.
